I painted an eggplant from my imagination as an opening night card for Donald Margulies's Dinner With Friends at the Old Globe, for our director (subsequently my dear friend), Leonard Foglia, back in 2001 (20 years ago!), and I made a copy that I put up in the kitchen to inspire me with a vegetable gallery! I love these baby organic versions, they are SO delicious. Enjoy your veggies, guys! (Nightshades, schmightsahdes, say I!)
